Woolstone was a great place to stay, locals are very friendly and everything you need is all a small walk away. Visiting white horse view was spectacular. Advised by the staff of the white horse pub to visit Westgate shopping in Oxford was a great idea. Only had breakfast in the white horse where we stayed they have a pizza oven outside and it all looked amazing.

I was very impressed with the dual-level room; it had the feel of a mews-type cottage and was located in a separate annexe with it's own front-door, which was a pleasant surprise for me, and was very roomy. Friendly staff, a good variation of dishes on the restaurant menu at reasonable prices. Both my evening meal and the breakfast met with expectations. Hotel is in a quiet location but it's not far to drive to nearby amenieites and is perfectly located for exploring White Horse Hill.

Very friendly host and staff. Very cosy, spotless clean, traditional pub. Bar appearance and layout outstanding. 2 log fires. Breakfast menu worthy of 5 star hotel, absolutely delicious. Good choice of evening menu. Food well presented, nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of car parking. Great village atmosphere. I would definitely recommend staying at this establishment.

We found noisy dogs allowed in the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast rather annoying. In future we won't book hotels that claim to be "Dog Friendly" as this undoubtably leads owners to feel that their animals are (or should be) accepted with no limitations. Our fault for not realising that "Dog Friendly" inevitably means less friendly to customers without dogs.

Hidden gem in the hamlet of Woolstone, just below the Uffington White Horse and Ridgeway so great place to stay as a base for walking. Lovely, ancient pub with cozy meals. The accommodation is in an adjacent building, all modern and up-to-date. Great showers and breakfast too!

The breakfast was outstanding. A real cut above what is usually presented at hotels and inns. I particularly recommend the Eggs Florenitine. The evening meal is also very good indeed The accommodation is very comfortable and delightfully quiet.
