The room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and warm but we found the bedside tables a nuisance. They were very small with a big table lamp stuck on top. This was inconvenient as we needed to put tablets, clocks, water etc on the table. I put mine on the floor put we needed to leave the other one as a bedtime switch off . The hotel had romantic memories for us, being where we met almost 60 years ago! It was convenient for where we wanted to go.

Swan Studios, hotel in Woodhorn

Swan Studios in Choppington features 3-star accommodation. Free WiFi and free parking are available. The rooms all feature seating areas with coffee tables, and en-suite facilities.

Probably the cleanest and tidiest place we have stayed. Thick comfy carpet, good heating, good tv placed centrally. Liked the fact you can park right outside your door too. Very quiet, never heard a neighbour (although not sure if there even was one). Good wi-fi, we plugged the laptop into the tv and watched netflix with no problems.

Such a lovely place to stay.

Such a lovely place to stay. The owners had thought of everything you would want or need. There was tea, coffee and sugar. Coffee pods for the coffee machine. Buckets and spades windbreaks and chairs to use on the beach. Child safety gates if needed. There was even a slow cooker and pressure cooker in the cupboard. Was just like being at home. Plenty of books games and dvds to read play or watch. Beach is 2 minutes from the property. Lovely promenade to walk along. Also plenty of information about where you could visit in the area and places to eat. Will definitely go back

Lovely host whom met us at the property to show us around then left us to enjoy our stay. Also quick to respond to messages & allowed us to take several dogs, not many places allow more than 2! Property was clean & home from home everything you needed even tea, coffee & toiletries. Also arrived to milk in the fridge & bucket & spade for our grandson! Will definitely be returning. Location was great, beach across road & 5 minutes walk to local village. Queens head pub 5 minutes walk had nice beer, cidre, great beer garden & excellent value for money is their kids menu! Easy drive to other excellent beaches, parkland & towns, even bus service if you don't want to drive.

All the people there are friendly and all the pubs are dog friendly, the beach is long and clean and not too busy, the pubs are all within walking distance and some have beer gardens at the back overlooking the sea. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and takeout food to choose from. Everything you need is there, we would stay there again.
