Travelling for Alton Towers this was a lovely little stop for the night before moving on to Alton. Nice small compact room and lovely cosy little bar area for evening meal and a few drinks. The food in the bar area was exceptional, though check the timings, the bar was only open from 7pm for food, don't know if that's normal.

We arrived around 6:30pm and we were shown around the area (the hut and the bathroom)then left to enjoy a peaceful evening! Host was excellent at providing us with dinner options around the local area, the hut was in perfect condition and the bed was super comfortable! We had some lovely visitors (ducks and chickens as well as a cat!) shame the weather wasn’t great but we will definitely make up for this during the summer as we cannot wait to travel back to this location! Thank you again for the lovely hospitality!

Hotel is in a lovely setting, plenty of parking, and very tastefully decorated. Lovely views, and spacious restaurant, bar, and bedrooms. Very close to Alton Towers. Not signposted from main road so we had a bit of a tour of the village before we found it.

Good value for money and a lovely overnight stay for us.

Good value for money and a lovely overnight stay for us. A clean, comfortable room with good facilities. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. The staff were first class- very friendly and helpful. You enter the hotel from a rear car park, which doesn’t give the best first impression, but once in the main reception area you are re-assured. The hotel is on a very quiet, peaceful location. It is not sign-posted at all from the A52 through Whiston, which is not ideal especially as the turning into the very narrow lane is tight and not obvious.

Excellent. Couldn't fault the stay. Staff were exceptional. Food looked and tasted fantastic. Alton towers was less than 10mins away. Thank you to the staff who decorated our room for my girlfriends 40th birthday. Totally shocked when she opened the door; balloons, card and prosecco.

Fantastic place to stay! Such friendly hosts that would go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Food was incredible and had something for everyone - which is great when you have fussy eaters in your group. We will always stay here when visiting Alton Towers.

Fantastic! Just got back from a 2 night stay... the young lady who was there the whole time we were, was so lovely. She is a real credit to the place and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and a great price... and so are the drinks! Definitely be going back!! Fantastic family run business!

The hotel manager/owner was lovely. we had a slight noise problem which was not the managers fault as it was to do with other guest's. Unfortunately the noise travelled from the room below us however when I called the manager at 12.30 am she was extremely helpful and did speak to the other guests, she was very apologetic even though this was not her fault. Other than this we had a fantastic stay and it was the perfect location for Alton towers. I would definitely recommend it.

Location was great - it meant we could enjoy a day in Alton and then relax in the bar area. the food for evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Staff very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. As it was our Dad's 80th birthday, the hotel very kindly put up some beautiful balloons in the room and left a card, rose and a box of chocolates as a gesture - very thoughtful thank you so much. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you.
