The cleanliness was impeccable Communication was clear, polite and accurate throughout The 'welcome basket' we were greeted with was such a lovely touch to start off the holiday for us- it was thoroughly enjoyed. The book of information was useful and accurate- to which we used for local takeaways and days out

Not as far to travel to get to a beach.

Not as far to travel to get to a beach. Lots of narrow winding roads. Went to a pub in withernsea on saturday night called captain Jacks, very popular place, had to book. Went to the pub on site, i had cheesey chips and coleslaw, could have done with a few more chips and mature cheddar as the cheese they used was tasteless, the coleslaw was expensive 3 pound odd for a 2 inch round bowl and wasn't home made it wasn't even premium shop bought just the cheapest you could get. My husband had a double burger which he enjoyed, the bloke on the other table was having a right moan so we found out what he was moaning about, apparently, the bloke he was sat with had got a van before him and had been given a 20 year licence but when he got his he only had a 10 year licence, which means that he only had 7 years left and after that he would have to upgrade or leave with or without his van. He was also moaning about the price of the bottled beer, which was £4.50 and the other bloke said his pint cost £4.90 but got it for £3.80 with his discount card, which doesn't really compute as you only get 10% off with that. Found out that some van owners bought their vans when it was an all year round residential site and that's why they could be there permanently, don't know how true that was though.

The caravan had a LOT of spiders.

The caravan had a LOT of spiders. There was one dangling from the light as a welcome party, and we saw many others crawling on the doors and the sofa. A few things, like a broken chair, dirty tray in the oven, PET HAIR and grime in the saucepans and strips peeling off the table and the front door let the place down. We only realised in the morning when we wanted showers that the boiler wasn’t on and wasn’t working, because the gas had run out! Customer service was very good, and this was sorted quickly. In the meantime, we decided to go swimming to use the showers there and have a swim, and it cost a staggering additional £50 for all of us (2 adults and 2 children under 10) to buy a 4 day pass to use the pool. We paid (despite only being able to use the pool twice) as the children were excited about swimming. Sadly, the showers at the pool were terrible! 😆 The boiler wouldn’t restart at first (once new gas was installed) because it was set to ‘off’, which was a bit strange. There were no instructions for the boiler. We also had to supply our own bedding etc… ‘because of COVID’, but that feels like a bit of an excuse for not doing laundry, now. On the plus side, it wasn’t expensive (thankfully) and apart from the pans, things were clean. The kettle, microwave, TV etc… were good, and although the mattresses were bumpy with springs, we all slept well as it was so peaceful on the site. That said, I wish we’d booked a longer stay, as it would have been nice to relax properly once the issues were sorted.

Close to withernsea and on a bus route so accessible to visitors that may not drive. Clean site and close to the beach (10 minute walk) but only accessible to able bodied individuals. Nice site to walk around with ponds and level roads for ease of access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Didn’t not use the majority of facilities but has options for all ages

It’s a quiet holiday where you have what seems at times your own private beach. There is an entertainment centre at the front of the venue if you fancy playing bingo, having a beer in the bar. Also a place that sells pizza, a convenience store. Plenty of fields surrounding for dog walks. Fishing pond if that is your thing. It’s a holiday resort where you decide what type of holiday you have!.

First time trying a caravan park out with Haven. Disappointed with lack of amenities and overall cleanliness. Recommend a trip to Hornsea (30 mins drive). Staff helpful and friendly. Restaurant not great.
