Must have been going to Torquay for 35 years so it must be OK. It's got everything for everybody. Nightclubs, pubs, amusement arcades, beaches even an axe throwing activity, museums and a train that takes you around the town. Also a big wheel. Great restaurants from Indian, Chinese to French and Taco and beautiful fish and chips. Sea food restaurant on the harbour with crab, lobster and fish that you won't have heard of.
Love Torquay.

Absolutely love Torquay, first visit since losing my Mum.
Absolutely love Torquay, first visit since losing my Mum. Great for shopping, views and easy access to Paignton and Brixham. Dawlish and Teignmouth. Beaches are sandy and clear of rubbish, surrounding area is spacious and sea is a lovely clean blue. You can visit the harbour for a variety of boat trips throughout the day, people are very welcoming and friendly. Also you have to go on The Wheel located close to the Torbay hotel as is The Princess Theatre. Suitable for solo or family holidays as there is always something going on locally or nearby and plenty of places of interest, eg Agatha Christie

Apart from the problems with our acommodation we have always liked Torquay and the atmosphere there. We have travelled extensively in Europe. Torquay has had a bad image in the past but if you go to Babbacombe the sea views are beautiful. The Churston area and Broadsands are good. The rural landscape as you drive from Churston to Kingswear is a joy and Dartmouth is a great place to be...especially the Dartmouth Castle Hotel. As more upmarket modern apartments are built, in the future I see Torquay with its views of Torbay becoming a very desireable place to live.

Torquay seafront is beautiful and has many great places to eat and drink. The town is a bit disappointing and the harbour area is a nightmare for traffic at the time of our visit due extremely long delays caused by work being carried out to improve it.

There is nothing negative that I can say about the Headland Hotel. Superb location. Single room with sea views. A comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean bathroom. The facilities of the room fulfilled all my requirements. Staff were pleasant, friendly and looked after us well. I hope to return again in the future. A perfect stay for me and my family.
Absolutely fantastic views which were out of this world from our sea view room, it was beautiful n clean too, with a massive most comfortable bed ever. All the staff, from our warm welcoming at reception, to the bar staff, to the waiters n waitresses. They were all polite n happy to help n go above n beyond. We loved the hot tubs, steam room n sauna too. We also thought the idea of the buffet breakfast was brilliant with a wide selection to choose from. We would highly recommend this hotel to our friends n family.
My stay at Silverlands Guest House was really good.
Rose & Marc were very welcoming & just lovely hosts throughout my stay.
My requests for an early breakfast was "No Trouble At All" & it met my expectations.
The room was tastefully decorated & extremely clean throughout. The bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was spacious & modern.
Parking was available which is quite rare for some parts in Torquay.
I am travelling to Torquay again & will be staying at Silverlands once again.

The Breakfast was outstanding perfect in everyway stay for four nites and would 💯 go back in a heartbeat.Best Hotel I stay at in Torquay Wonderful stay thank you Steve and Wendy.and your lovely staff. Will be back
It's a 2* hotel that is only a few minutes walk to the beach, litterally 2 streets. Torquay is a great place to go for a few nights getaway. Very scenic and some good walking routes. Besides Torquay itself, some other great places are with 20 minutes drive away such as Brixham and Shaldon/Teignmouth - both well worth a visit. For the Hotel itself - Ken the owner if a friendly old chap. They have a pool in the back.
I needed a last minute hotel room for a night out in Torquay. This hotel was over £100 per night cheaper than the next cheapest option. It is definitely "no frills", but was clean and the bed was very comfy, and it didn't matter that I came back to the room in the wee early hours. It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing hotel but it certainly did the job and I'm grateful to have found somewhere so reasonable.
Absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Room was brilliant well equipped and very comfortable and my partner really enjoyed the bath.
Owners were very friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful about the local area on where to eat and go.
If we stay in Torquay again we will definitely look if this place is available and good location, great value for money and the breakfast was excellent 10/10
Lovely old style hotel. We had a sea room view that was beautiful. It wasn’t a cheap stay but it was August and we’d booked relative short notice. Rooms are adequate and very clean but probably not too far from needing renovating. Staff are lovely. Best location in Babbacombe. Good buffet breakfast. A few nice pubs and eateries around, and more in nearby Torquay.
I cannot thank Abi and Andy enough. me the Mrs and the dog went for a couple days and just wow. these guys truly make you feel welcome and will go all out for anything that you need. Best price and definitely best accommodation in torquay it's like a 5 star Hotel and just speechless of how amazing this place and the owners are.
Very clean comfortable hotel, it's our home from home, excellent location making it easy to walk either into Paignton or Torquay . Lovely garden to relax in during the brighter months , we enjoy staying anytime of the year . Most of my family use this hotel throughout the year also . Definitely worth checking it out .
Perfect location for exploring lots of places.
Wonderful hotel we have visited many times and booked again for next year.
Breakfast is delicious especially the omelette & my husband recommends the Full English, beautifully cooked & quality.
Garden Room with our little dog is perfect
Really good location plenlty of parking spaces near to the hotel, short walk to the centre/Harbour, Liz was very welcoming the hotel was lovely and clean with a really nice breakfast we will be definitely return next time we come to Torquay.
The staff were excellent, and the hotel was kept spotless in terms of the cleaning. The terrace really makes this hotel as it must have some of the best hotel views in Torquay. The food including breakfast was very good too.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were amazing so friendly and polite nothing was too much for them we had a lovely stay I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to family and friends
Not one single thing - checked in and checked out 20 mins later. Unclean, unsafe, dirty, rude staff appalling disgusting this chain needs to address this hotel and how it is run immediately
Excellent location, facilities, staff and entertainment. We've stayed in other hotels in torquay and this was the best by far. Breakfast was amazing booking again soon
