The hotel was well maintained, modern and comfortable in a lovely setting. The room was also well maintained, comfortable, clean and serviced well - we had a slight issue with the bath panel which was attended to promptly. The additional requirements we requested were present in the room. The restaurant food was reasonable. The staff were friendly and, in the main, helpful and courteous.

Very nice place to stay with the kids. It was short weekend stay but we enjoyed it a lot, especially that was close ride to York which was our main destination. Very clean, comfortable beds. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub.

Very comfortable well designed hotel. Set in lovely countryside and not far from Helmsley, N York Moors Rievaulx Abbey, and many more idyllic places.
Good selection of well cooked evening meals and a lovely choice at breakfast.

we visited Yorkshire Lavender, Castle Howard, Scampston Hall, Ryedale Folk Museum (and moors with tea stop Rossedale Abbey), Bangers and Cash Auction in Thornton Le Dale in area and World of Herriot on way home. Can recommend Thonpsons Fish and Chips A64, Crown and Cussion Welburn, Stapylton Arms Wass for meals
