I like the proximity of swindon to my friend’s house it’s easy for me to travel by bus and train. I’m just scared in the bus station because there are people drinking and they started to fight and shout with each other, i felt unsafe on that area. I didn’t manage to go around, but in the hotel where i’m staying there is a nearby KFC which is good when you are craving for finger-lickin’ good chicken. If you are a forest person and likes hiking swindon is good i think.

Ok for a cheap overnight stay to break the journey up.
Ok for a cheap overnight stay to break the journey up. Easy access to motorway to continue journey. Clean and pleasant basic room, Evening meal was well cooked hot and tasty, but breakfast was very busy due to a coach party all coming down to breakfast at once.Lovely selection of breakfast items but the cooked could be warmer. In fairness it probably was when the started just with so many people taking /)eating lids off it got cold!

Swindon is great for being a central base with lots of choices (so many!) for pubs, breakfast, coffee, dinner, nightlife, while making day trips to explore the Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Oxford, Bath, Marlborough, horseback riding, hiking, and charming villages of Wiltshire. Multiple buses from all directions stop there, as does the National Express coach service from Heathrow, plus there's the train and taxis.
Old Town is the place to stay to get the most out of your visit. Closer to the train station there are some vacant properties and it's a bit rougher around the edges.

Very quiet. The room was nice. The staff were lovely. It was a few minutes walking distance from all the main places I wanted to go (and was opposite the house I grew up in so that was nice for nostalgic reasons). Reasonably priced. I liked too that check out time was 11. I've been to hotels before where check out time is quite early and so you end up rushing and then worrying that you might have forgotten something. It was nice being able to get ready to leave leisurely. 100% when I come back to Swindon, this will be the hotel I stay at.
Very comfortable, clean and spacious room and bathroom. Friendly staff. Good value. Hotel had sufficient facilities for a short stay including bar and restaurant. Location is outstanding set in very large grounds. Only a 10-15 minute drive to Swindon town centre.
very worst hotel in swindon no heater working, lift not working i was in third floor, i walked my self , bathroom floor mate not good i felt down on the bathroom i had injured my leg and left shoulder i am going hospital today i will complain about this hotel
Completely fine for the price I paid. Enjoyed the breakfast and beds were comfy. The hotel was a bit outside of city centre which was what I wanted, about 40min walk from the train station. Wifi worked well. Had a comfortable stay. Staff was lovely.
