Quiet large room. Excellent where the TV is too far from the bed or have larger tvs.
Rooms are looking tired.Huge very comfortable bed
If you refurbished and rise in price was too high would probably not stay.
Great breakfast - but dining room lacks character/atmosphere ( Stanton house does- appreciate it is a differing style property.
Overlooking a lake and parkland, Stanton House Hotel is an idyllic stone house that nestles amid the picturesque Wiltshire countryside. There are two restaurants and all rooms are en suite.

I like the proximity of swindon to my friend’s house it’s easy for me to travel by bus and train. I’m just scared in the bus station because there are people drinking and they started to fight and shout with each other, i felt unsafe on that area. I didn’t manage to go around, but in the hotel where i’m staying there is a nearby KFC which is good when you are craving for finger-lickin’ good chicken. If you are a forest person and likes hiking swindon is good i think.

Ok for a cheap overnight stay to break the journey up.
Ok for a cheap overnight stay to break the journey up. Easy access to motorway to continue journey. Clean and pleasant basic room, Evening meal was well cooked hot and tasty, but breakfast was very busy due to a coach party all coming down to breakfast at once.Lovely selection of breakfast items but the cooked could be warmer. In fairness it probably was when the started just with so many people taking /)eating lids off it got cold!

Swindon is great for being a central base with lots of choices (so many!) for pubs, breakfast, coffee, dinner, nightlife, while making day trips to explore the Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Oxford, Bath, Marlborough, horseback riding, hiking, and charming villages of Wiltshire. Multiple buses from all directions stop there, as does the National Express coach service from Heathrow, plus there's the train and taxis.
Old Town is the place to stay to get the most out of your visit. Closer to the train station there are some vacant properties and it's a bit rougher around the edges.

I booked Stanton House Hotel at the last minute as a stop over on my way home to Wales after a long and intense few days of work. It was just what I needed. I received such a warm welcome. The staff were so warm and friendly, the property is beautiful and the breakfast was fabulous. I decided to stay longer and enjoy the lovely grounds and walks nearby.
Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be back.
The hotel/conference centre is attached to the Manor House with a large park. The whole site makes a very positive impression. The Manor is very well restored. Hotel is probably recently refurbished. The price is very moderate. Restaurant is not expensive and good enough. Staff is friendly and helpful.
I can it truly recommend for the stay around Swindon.
Location is excellent being near the town centre and less than a minutes walk from a bus stop and only a half hours walk from town centre. The pricing is also really reasonable.
