Our room was spacious and comfy but unfortunately overlooked the main road through Warkworth which was noisy in the early morning.
Dinner was good.
The Sun Hotel is set opposite Warkworth Castle, on the banks of the River Coquet. This hotel features a traditional pub housed in a 17th-century coaching inn.

I bought a stay here for friends previously who couldn’t rate it higher.
I then purchased again for some other friends. They said it was comfortable.

Lesley and Steve were lovely hosts and made us very welcome. Room was very comfortable. Had great sleep in a very comfy bed. Great breakfast which set us up for the day. Lovely bright decor throughout and we loved all the family photos up the stairways. Beautiful bathroom.

The country park itself is a good location for accessing all Northumberland has to offer, particularly the quaint Northumbrian villages and beautiful coastal region. Easily accessed from the A1M. Lodges overlooking the golf course offer lovely open views

Very quiet and isolated location.
Very quiet and isolated location. Ideal for couples or business. Not a lot on site for families. We had to walk through a fence which only had one sign, after stumbling through the golf course no other sign was found directing us to the mini bar- had to ask a local who showed us where to go. (Behind us was also people trying to find the same place!) it lists on website you have a hot van on site (never open whilst we were there) if you want on site entertainment or things to do to keep your children occupied during evenings - this is not the site for you!

Swarland itself is a small village but situated almost half way between the market and historic towns of Alnwick and Morpeth, both well worth visiting.
The golf clubhouse in Swarland is excellent for food and has sports tv and there are other really good pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages (eg Slice of Mutton in Longhorsley).

We enjoyed our stay, was peaceful even with the kids. Nice park for the kids to play in, and not a bad drive to Seahouses and bamburgh, only thing I would like to note is that the Wi-Fi didn’t seem to want to connect, showed up as wrong password when entered the same 3x times but apart from that was perfect nothing bad to say.
Thank you

Awesome cabin located in a quiet area of Swarland.
Awesome cabin located in a quiet area of Swarland. Great hot tub with bluetooth accessible features which was great for a bit of music through the day. Beautiful dark, starry skies at night are great to enjoy with a tipple.
Our host Kris was on hand to resolve any queries we had, great host!
10/10 - Would happily stay here again... in fact, I may just book another stay now!

Didn't eat out as weather wasn't the best.
Didn't eat out as weather wasn't the best. Great hot shower and snug living room. Comfy beds. Good lighting. Handy parking. Everything felt nice and clean. A few basic kitchen items missing but cooker etc worked fine. Despite being in the middle of a row of accomm the layout gave us a feeling of privacy and the front window looked out onto woodland...giving us bird song in the morning and owls at night. We would return.
