Mixed bag. The main social areas are all good, fine for a one-night stay. The food was good and the staff all very nice. But the first room I was put in was terrible, had damp on the walls, the paint was all marked and basically not acceptable. To the credit of the staff when I went and complained they moved me to a much nicer room which was totally fine, still a bit "tired" in terms of decor but fine overall. But the first room and I assume the rooms in that area really need an upgrade, surprised they tried to use them.

Breakfast excellent. Pub was lively. Owners were welcoming & obliging by providing delicious evening meal which we weren't expecting.
