Visiting Norwich so location exellent, sort drive to the park and ride. Room was very comfortable and warm and although bathroom was small the shower was very good and plenty of places to store your stuff. There was a balcony which would have been nice but unfortunately weather didnt allow us to use it. Receptionist was extremely friedly and helpful on our arrival. Loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi which we used every day.

The Griffin Hotel, hotel in Spooner Row

Situated in the heart of East Anglia, 16 miles away from Norwich, the historic coaching inn The Griffin Hotel was first established in 1560.

The staff were great and breakfast was very filling. The view of the church yard was really nice to wake up to each morning. Wifi was stable!!!! There is onsite parking, but beware if you have a large vehicle the entrance way is tight! There's a cafe next door that's nice and quaint, a fish shop across the street and a Chinese just down the road. The shower is hot and there was plenty of space in the bathroom and bedroom. The light from the big windows was so nice!

As stated, warm and comfortable bed.

As stated, warm and comfortable bed. Got a nasty and pathetic response from Joe which you should read and digest. There are quite a number of poor reviews and Joe needs to take notice of these comments and address the issues! Booking .com should also take note of all the reviews and ask why there are a number of reviews that are so negative! An unannounced inspection would be worth doing! This is a business that Joe is running and he should behave in a business like manner and address any issues that customers raise.

It lived up to its name, cobwebs all over the room.

It lived up to its name, cobwebs all over the room. WIFI very poor. Bathroom on a lower level with low angled ceiling, kept bumping my head. Mirror over sink was that low you couldn't use it to shave. Toilet seat not secure, kept sliding about. toilet bowl brown at the bottom. Bed very uncomfortable had very little sleep over three nights.
