This modern hotel is on the northbound side of the M40 motorway, between junctions 12 and 13. It offers free parking, free WiFI and good-value en suite rooms with power showers and Freeview TV.

We stayed only one night but we enjoyed our stay there. Easy to get there, easy to park and few shops next to it that make all easier. Staff was kind and helpful and room comfortable and cleaned .

Days Inn Hotel Warwick South - Southbound M40, hotel in Southam

Days Inn Hotel Warwick South - Southbound M40 is set in Warwick, 9 km from Warwick Castle and 9 km from Warwick Racecourse. Free private parking and WiFi are available on site.

Toilets, kettle, carpet, spoons etc were fithy. Had a power fuse thrice thoughbthe reception came quickly on calling and sorted by switching it back on. My kids were terrified of the dark and my husband had to go to the reception at 10:30 at night to call the lady. Breakfast was not halal, I paid for 4 kids £4.50 each only to find out at the breakfast place that they don't have much choice over there for us. They should have mentioned that when we were paying for it. Also, breakfast was cold and served in takeaway boxes. Breads were only served on asking. Why can't they make it 'help yourself' kind so we can fetch what we wish by ourselves. Everything felt overpriced from the room to the breakfast.

Absolutely fabulous bed and breakfast in a stunning location - looking out over the fields eating a yummy breakfast is wonderful! Liz was an absolutely fabulous host and made us feel very welcome. She was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back to the area to enjoy some of the lovely walks and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

N.B The Merrie Lion isnt in Southam --!!!!! It is in a small attractive village called Fenny Compton several miles (???10 ????) away from the town of Southam - I dont therefore know what Southam is like. I did however like the rural setting of Fenny Compton

We visited the area again, the view from the top of the hills are spectacular. the days was fine so we could see for miles in every direction. Well worth a visit if you love the open air and walking. A fun place it is for children to run around! Very open and hilly as the name suggests, there are plenty of level areas too...
