Really stand-out service. Not like the fake or forced smiles and service you get in a lot of hotels, we were met with a team that genuinely looked after us. From the sandwiches they’d made for us when they knew we’d be too late arriving to eat in the restaurant, to actually being shown to our room (when was the last time that happened) to the sausage they cooked for the dog in the morning at breakfast…
Really, genuinely good.

Beautiful location it is a prestigious golf club first and foremost The views a green and rolling hills the Manor House is a listed building. The accommodation is modern in an annexe which seems very new. Good en-suite room which was good value for room only. Will look forward to sitting on the terrace admiring the views again later this year. The staff were lovely, thank you to Ebony for being helpful and engaging.

Brilliant booking in / arrival procedure :- Holly was fantastic - everything she said ( like sorting parking, providing an invoice, answering little questions etc ) was done immediately and with absolute thoroughness and professionalism.
Great location too - very quiet ( slept like a log both nights ! ) and everything going on in Huddersfield ( bars, restaurants etc ) just a 200 metre stroll into the town centre.
We were visiting friends and family in the area, so Shepley...
We were visiting friends and family in the area, so Shepley was a convenient central point with easy access by car or train. There's nothing in Shepley that would encourage you to visit specifically, but it was a good central point for our needs.
Food shopping at the forever open Coop mini market and a Chinese/Thai takeaway resolve hunger issues if you have a kitchen available. Also there are so many good pubs and restaurants in nearby towns and villages that you'd need a lifetime to try them all.
However, avoid the Black Bull in Shepley. It's the antithesis of the welcoming Yorkshire pub - horrible boutique beers and a high proportion of drunken customers among the few we found on Saturday night.
