The pub is in a nice location with country views. The gardens are well kept with a good children's play area. Lots of seating indoors and outside. Our room was modern, comfortable and clean with a nice ensuite. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, very tasty and good value. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a nice selection of other items on offer. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

We were visiting friends and family in the area, so Shepley...
We were visiting friends and family in the area, so Shepley was a convenient central point with easy access by car or train. There's nothing in Shepley that would encourage you to visit specifically, but it was a good central point for our needs.
Food shopping at the forever open Coop mini market and a Chinese/Thai takeaway resolve hunger issues if you have a kitchen available. Also there are so many good pubs and restaurants in nearby towns and villages that you'd need a lifetime to try them all.
However, avoid the Black Bull in Shepley. It's the antithesis of the welcoming Yorkshire pub - horrible boutique beers and a high proportion of drunken customers among the few we found on Saturday night.
