What a gem this place is. The house is beautiful presented and very well kept and the breakfast was to die for. More than enough to keep hunger away for most of the day, and all beautifully prepared by Derval. Our room was lovely and very tastefully decorated (like the whole house), the bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. Parking was not a problem as there were many on-street places next to and nearby.

Staff super friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and we had a room with a sea view. Food in the restaurant was excellent and as i am gluten intolerant I was impressed that the chef made me a fresh fruit salad even though it wasn’t on the menu.

We enjoyed walking along the promenade with views of the beach, pier and sea. Plenty of places to stop for coffee and cake. Hastings Country Park with its views and its cliff-top and woodland trails is a great place to visit.

    Lovely place.

Lovely place. Old-fashoned elegance and interesting architecture. Shingle beach with wide views of the channel. Be aware the gulls sit on the roofs from about 4.30am and are very noisy, especially when the newly fledged youngsters demand feeding. Nearby Hastings with its Shipwreck Museum, fishing fleet and fresh fish isn't far away. Also Rye is an interesting visit.

St Leonards seems to be under development in certain areas which looked good, plenty of places to eat and drink. Nice to walk across the sea front to other towns like Hastings and Bexhill. Also has good bus and rail links.

We stayed in St Leonards as we felt it was a good base for Eastbourne: to watch the tennis and were able to get there by train. It was also within walking distance of Hastings and easy reach of Battle. We enjoyed some of the local restaurants and exploring the local area.

Nice place. We stayed in an apartment on top of a hill.

Nice place. We stayed in an apartment on top of a hill. We didn't want to use our car to the restaurants and shops after finding a parking spot near the apartment. Going on foot down hill was no problem, but after dinner we got back by taxi because going back up the steep hill was a bit too much for 3 elderly lady's. It's close to Hastings where we spend most of the weekend.
