The family room was perfect for us and our 2 boys. They loved the bunk beds. Michael (the host) was lovely, even helped us find a place for dinner and booked us a table. Really made our stay a perfect family get away.

Hodgkinsons Hotel Matlock Bath, hotel in Matlock Bank

Hodgkinsons Hotel Matlock Bath is set in Matlock Bath, just outside the beautiful Peak District National Park.

We booked a double room with a great river view. I loved that it was a generous size, with two easy chairs. After a long day out, it was bliss to be able to enjoy a cuppa whilst taking in the view. The staff were really helpful in meeting our request for a 7:30 breakfast one morning - greatly appreciated. The quality of breakfast was good, with friendly service. The hotel does offer free car parking nearby, which we were directed to after checking in.

Very pretty town, very busy over the bank Holiday, parking became an issue because of this, especially around the heights if abraham. Plenty of small shops and cafes and lovely scenic surround to explore.
