DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol South - Cadbury House, hotel in Langford

This stylish, contemporary hotel is situated within 6 acres of landscape gardens in Avon, Bristol, just 12 miles from the city centre and under 4 miles from the M5 motorway.

Beautiful setting, the staff couldn’t do enough for us, we had a glass of wine and a lovely homemade cookie on arrival. We had the afternoon tea which was truly scrumptious. The breakfast was an amazing choice too. I must mention Julie who works in the restaurant, she works SO hard and I do hope she gets to read this as I really don’t think the restaurant would be as efficient if she wasn’t there. So many thanks to all the kind staff but especially for Julie.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a comfy bed, large bathroom, hot drink facilities, iron and board, fresh towels and large TV. We travelled for a family birthday party and just needed a cheap stay for the night. The value for money is amazing!

    Cottage was gorgeous.

Cottage was gorgeous. Beautifully furnished, well-equipped, great location, and spacious. There was a great pub opposite, dog-friendly, good veggie and gluten-free food options - and good choice of beers. It was really warm and cosy. A real home-from-home. Parking outside on the road. The only thing was - which someone else mentioned - is a dip in the bed. And a baby gate would be good to stop dogs from going upstairs. But we would definitely stay again and definitely recommend - really quality accommodation and a lovely, helpful owner. Also spotlessly clean. Coffee machine, microwave, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, shower and bath, great wifi, and great location. Very sunny and light.

Great location close to Bristol with nicely presented rooms and a very pleasant restaurant. However, our stay was let down by small items missing from the room and poor service at dinner. To offer a pre-dinner snack/savoury but then not serve until after your starters had arrived is not what I would expect, especially given the cost of the food.

We stayed in the Langford suite, which was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The Inn is located near some great walks in the Mendips, excellent location for different journeys. Lunch and breakfast were very good and the staff were friendly and attentive. A hidden gem in the Mendips. The garden also had cinema set-up outdoors for the weekend. Certainly recommend and would head back in the near future. Thank you

    In need of refurbishment.

In need of refurbishment. Don't consider it was value for money. Very disappointed. Bathroom dirty. Half used toiletries. Hygiene container empty. Wallpaper hanging down on ceiling. Waste bin lid rusty. Bath mat stained, & dirty. Hairdryer didn't work. Old kettle stand broken & left on work top. WIFI didn't work.

We were visiting Langford to see friends.

We were visiting Langford to see friends. The village itself is quaint as are all the surrounding villages and towns. Bristol harbour, Cheddar Gorge and Wells (The smallest city in England) are all within easy striking distance and well worth a visit as is Wookey Hole!

Loved everything about our stay! We stayed in the Langford suite which was absolutely gorgeous! Even got a couple of free drinks in our room which was a nice touch! Food was outstanding, we ate at the hotel on the first night and then again for Sunday lunch, both meals fantastic as well as the breakfasts! Lovely staff, asked us about what else we were doing on our stay, a lovely staff member took the time to give us some recommendations in Bristol too! Would definitely recommend to friends and family - I’m sure we’ll be back one day!

I stayed in The Langford room. it was quite simply stunning. I have stayed in many fabulous hotels rooms around the world but to find something of this standard in a village pub/inn was just amazing. In addition, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was exceptional.

Amazing room, lots of nice small touches, attention to detail. Great food. Stayed here the night before an early morning flight, we looked at several different hotels in the area but we won’t be staying anywhere else in the future.

I stayed in the hotel many years ago. Since my last stay the restaurant and bar area have been undated. It has been done very well. The room was excellent, with a nice touch of the DAB radio being on when you enter the room.
