Waited a good while for the breakfast room to be unlocked. We had understood that breakfast was from 7:30am. However, at 7:45, we rang the proprietor and she was there within minutes to accommodate us.

Chris and her husband were very kind. The radiator is switched on at 5pm and again off in the night, which wasn’t pleasant during winter time when I stayed. Breakfast was good.

The location is v central and convenient for me. I liked the comfort of the bed, warmth of shower etc. Very good value for money. Great communication via the app with hotel staff.

Hostess was wonderful and made me a take-away breakfast as I was leaving early in the morning; rooms were great and bed was very comfy.

Bit of a hidden gem - nice canal and a great pub overlooking it! Easy access to A1 and plenty of great countryside nearby. Train station so options for those not driving.
There for a party so didn't really explore more widely but will be back.
