everything except the parking. Great hotel, grounds, food, restaurant, room, bed etc etc. And also, for the reasons below, the wonderful Dana who made everything ok.

Absolutely everything was amazing. The location, staff, food, accommodation. We could not fault it at all.
The Ragged Cot in Minchinhampton provides accommodation with a garden and a terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a bar and on-site dining. Free WiFi is included.

Checking in wasn't the best start, we had to wait for 15 mins before being told they were busy and would get back to us in due course.
The car park is non existent, there is some tarmac but the area is mostly potholed.
The outside of the building looks tired as do the rooms. Very dated and tired and generally need refurbishing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, food was very good. Although one morning, as there were only my husband and myself staying at the property we weren't afforded the facility of a cereals, juices or yoghurts, only ordering from the menu.

The room is very dated, the handle fell off the shower which I had to repair. The toilet was not clean and the flooring smelt of urine. The bed was very comfy. The food was okay in the car park had plenty of spaces.

We was attending a family wedding at Kingscote Barn and this was an ideal venue to stay. Breakfast was included in our room rate which was brilliant and although some items were missing from their menu we was not left hungry. Food in the restaurant was extremely good. Accommodation was close to the pub. Our room was spacious, clean and warm. Beautiful rural location and a car is essential.

The bar and restaurant was great as was the friendly staff.
The bar and restaurant was great as was the friendly staff.
Just a real shame about the accommodation. Rooms in the stables were in need of a makeover. Our room wasn’t particularly clean and the bathroom needed gutting. The taps were covered in limescale and soap stains and the bathroom window had mould around it. The bed however was comfortable.
From the outside you could tell that the accommodation was very tired and needed repairs.

Kingscote village is a tiny hamlet down a little lane opposite the Hunters Hall Inn.
It is well worth a visit, there is a lovely old church, and the village itself is picture postcard perfect. Absolutely no traffic other than locals and the very few visitors, so a wander round is highly recommended. When you have built up a good appetite, there are several excellent places to eat.
We stayed at the Hunters Hall Inn, so ate there, an experience I can highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely stay, out of all the places we stayed on holiday this was by far our favourite. Food was super, the staff were excellent and friendly.
Our room was stand-alone, almost like a motel so it was quiet and had loads of room.
The power went out due to a huge storm for a while during our stay but the staff were amazing and it all added to the romance of the place. Would highly recommend staying here, it was brilliant and the food was amazing.
Breakfast was lovely - we pretty much had the while place to ourselves as we were having breakfast at 7am ish. Food was fresh and cooked to order. The building itself was old and needed a little tlc but overall was nice. The staff were polite and firendly and very happy to help - despite the fact you could that the staff were stretched quite thinly across the hotel, bars, dining areas and kitchen.
The staff were friendly, there was one man in particular who was on reception, bar and the breakfast duty who gave excellent service to all customers. The location is great for Kingscote Barn and is great value.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. there was a fan and an iron in the room, both of which were very handy.
Great hotel and staff, food was delicious for both breakfast and evening meals. All good quality produce. Sam and Louisa have some wonderful local knowledge, and wished we had had an earlier opportunity to speak to them. Thank you to all the team there for an enjoyable stay 👏👏
We had a lovely stay at this little pub hotel in Kingscote , such a pretty area and close to Tetbury a lovely little town we visited. The food was also amazing we really enjoyed out visit.
location perfect for a nearby wedding.
staff friendly and helpful- gave use of another room to change for the wedding when our hotel room wasn’t ready (we checked in early)
