On arrival we were welcomed by Sally who was very nice and helpful. She gave us the front door key, our room key and talked us through things. The room was clean and comfortable with a double bed, tv and bathroom in one room plus two single beds in an adjoining room. There was a free car park alongside the property. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk were provided. Just a few minutes' drive from Thirsk the property has a very good location. A one-night stay in the family room is very good value for money.

Husthwaite is a small and picturesque village. Tomahawk Steakhouse offers the most delicious food in very pleasant surroundings. The village offers a peaceful location although it is well placed for touring nearby places like Thirsk, Ampleforth, Pickering and of course York. An excellent base.
