Fabulous pub, lovely location, excellent rooms which were the standard of a great boutique hotel, high powered shower, lovely food and good real ale. The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming.

Good location - quiet yet not far from local attractions etc. The decor and artwork is fabulous and quirky. The room was spotless and the sloe gin a nice touch. Possibly one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Breakfast was excellent and lovely friendly staff.

While we opted for a double room as selected we weee given twins despite this the room was clean and comfortable . Dinner was confusing and we found out later the Red Lion was actually open which would have been a better option than the bar menu

Lovely large bedroom in the Willows converted bungalow across the road. Tastefully decorated. Bed was superb, super king and so comfortable. Bathroom had a bath and separate shower cubicle. Very quiet and looked out over a field. Traditional pub with oak beams and open fire. Lovely atmosphere with good mix of guests and regulars. Breakfast was excellent, with good quality ingredients. We ate there in the evenings too. Above average pub grub, good sized portions in comfortable surroundings. All staff were friendly and attentive. A special mention for Gail who as well as running breakfast service took time to suggest places of interest to visit. Thank you

The staff was one of the kindest I've ever met. I am a wheelchair user and I requested specific details regarding space, toilet, and bathroom accessibility, and everything was clearly described and available as soon as I got there. The staff also helped me to store one equipment that I had to rent for my needs. There is a ramp at the back door of the restaurant, and I could access all facilities. Besides that, the hotel was really cozy, clean, and silent. Just a few minutes' walk away, you have access to the Wellcome Genome Campus. The breakfast is amazing! It's really worth tasting the Royal one, with spinach, eggs, and smoked salmon. Dinner is also good!
A great country hotel/b&b. Our room was very modern and the attached pub, very old and full of character. Breakfast was really good. Run by very friendly staff. It’s a quiet, country place to stay.

Beautiful little village with plenty of thatched roofs.
Beautiful little village with plenty of thatched roofs. Lovely views over the countryside. Nice and quiet. Good pub restaurant but sadly no shop in the village. You have to travel if you need supplies. Lovely place for a stroll and through road is fairly quiet.
