It has everything we needed Especially I liked having an ironing board in the room. There’s a bus station next to the hotel that lets you get to the city centre pretty quickly.

Breakfast was great! Everything you could ask for and served with a smile
The Duke of York is a lovely place to stay. The new owner is a nice man who made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable and clean. The only drawback with any room at the front is noise from the main road outside. The bar area was warm and welcoming, with really nice beer at good prices. We would definitely stay there again, but probably ask for an option of a room at the rear.

Would have liked breakfast to be available, but I knew it wasn't when booked, therefore not a disappointment of the booking,as there is a place nearby that provides the service. I loved the kettle/tea/coffee in the room. Cleaning staff was polite and respectful. Bar/reception staff were polite/informative and welcoming. Would stay again.
