HIGHFIELD, hotel in Harpham

Situated in Great Driffield, 33 km from The Spa Scarborough, HIGHFIELD features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Highfield was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect from the welcome received, our room, cleanliness and comfort, and the view from it, to the delicious breakfast served in an amazing period dining room. All the staff/owners we spoke to were very friendly and we will most certainly return when next in the area. Staying at the Highfield was quite a unique experience, in a very good way.

The view was the best but the food wasnt edible.

The view was the best but the food wasnt edible. The food was coming out raw and it is mass produced food from a freezer, not home made like it states. The food was awful. I was expecting a home made burger but ended up with a greasey slop of a burger made with cheap fun fair Patties. The pie wasn't nice and it was raw. The chef doesn't know how to cook and he doesn't know how to cook a steak how the customer asks. The waitress is moody and very off hand... Alot of food wasn't in stock so we kept having to choose something else. They didn't even have a batter mix for the Yorkshire pudding wrap. No blue cheese sauce and more items were missing. The room was very dusty and had numerous s Spiders living behind the bed. The carpet in the bathroom smelt of urine. Really not worth the money. The food isn't worth half the price. The garlic bread was the worst I have ever being served. The garlic bread came out on greasey bread COVERED in thick chunks of garlic. Never ever been served garlic bread like that in my life. We had to scrape the chunks on to the plate and other customers sat near us couldn't beleive it neither. St Quintin's arms. Stay clear......

    We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Gary and Tracy run a great pub/hotel and it is difficult to find anything to criticise. The village is close to the A614 so very convenient for people travelling to see the sights at Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough. We were sorry not to have more time.
