Just perfect! We stayed here with our dog for a couple of days. Quiet location, clean, cosy, comfortable and plenty of outside space to walk our dog. You have your own sitting room and private dining room. The breakfast was delicious. Friendly hosts. Definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely couple who own the property, very helpful, good company. Best breakfast I've had in years, cooked to order, first class.

The pod was very spacious and had everything we needed and more! Really nice location, great for a relaxing retreat and only 25 minutes away from the beach. Lovely grounds to walk around too. Just overall a great place to stay and escape to, will be rebooking.

The property is just a short distance out of Horncastle but very handily placed for the Wolds Wildlife Park, with other attractions close by or a short car journey away. It's situated off a quiet country road, with lovely views over the local countryside. A large garden makes for great outdoor entertainment. The host had kindly left some milk, tea and coffee in the large kitchen. The bedrooms are a good size with comfy beds. It is highly recommended and we will definitely stay again.
Goulceby is a pretty small village with just a village pub (...
Goulceby is a pretty small village with just a village pub (and a church I think). Other villages would have been accessible by bike if the weather had been better but as it was cold and wet some of the time we drove more than we usually do on holiday. Horncastle and Louth are both 7-8 miles away and have all services and are attractive little towns. The north sea beaches are 20 or so miles away.
The great thing about the location was that we were right in the middle of the Wolds, with quiet and varied walking and cycling routes straight out the front door.

Lovely village, with a friendly atmosphere.
Lovely village, with a friendly atmosphere. Bus stop is beautiful, shame there are no buses. The pub/shop/campsite is closed in January (I suppose there's obvious reasons for that) so make sure you're stocked up before any visit there in that month. The church is still open to the public and a cemetery is not far away supposedly on the site of the old village. Asterby is not far away and is linked by the Viking Way, one of many great walks in the area. The scenery, the wildlife, and even the resident alpacas are exquisite and worth the trip out to see. Not many footpaths so bring wellies and keep your ears and eyes on the road between gasping at hills, streams, and horses!
