Warwick Hall exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were very welcoming. The room was amazing, the bed large and comfortable and the bathroom huge with a great shower, We had drinks by the fire before dinner and then dinner on site. The food was outstanding. Breakfast was also great. One of the highlights was the walk by the river Eden. The daffodils and the green fields by the river made for a beautiful taste of the English countryside. We would not hesitate to book again.

A very nice studio in a good location just out of the village, a short drive to the local pub for dinner and Hadrians Wall for exploring the ruins during the day. The kitchenette was well stocked with lots of good choices for breakfast, and there were even a couple of beers for the weary travellers in the fridge. We were able to park right in front of the studio inside the property. We would recommend it.

The biggest problem for me is your address for Belted Will Inn in Farlam, a small village. It is, in fact, sited in Hallbankgate a much bigger place some 4 miles away. Most misleading and a completely different type of location.

We used this pub with rooms for a one night stay to break the journey to Scotland. An excellent welcome and a comfy spacious room which was centrally heated but also had an oil-filled radiator as back-up if needed.. Good hand-pulled pint of Wainwright and a filling, well cooked evening meal in a quiet dining room served by the friendly bar-man made for a most enjoyable evening. Enough malts to make for an interesting after-dinner session!
Breakfast was an array of excellent fresh fruits ( rasps, blueberries, grapes and more) followed by freshly cooked scrambled egg covered with generous slices of smoked salmon. Wholemeal toast, butter and jam topped off an excellent meal.
Good value.

Although we did not take the correct turning at Farlam on arrival the location was ideal for touring the area. Talkin Tarn is just a few minutes walk away and the lovely market town on Brampton a short drive. The private garden is ideal for sitting in absolute peace. The bedrooms comfortable and the dining room half way up the stairs a nice design feature. With chocolates, tulips and a bottle of wine to welcome us .. what else would you want?
