    Embleton is well situated.

Embleton is well situated. The village is quite small but has lovely places to eat. We ate in The Grey’s Inn and the food was great. Just a short drive away is Seahouses with a harbour and restaurants serving the freshly caught fish. Bamburgh is also a short drive with a beautiful beach and a fantastic castle to visit. Holy Island Lindisfarne is a bit further up the coast and is another gorgeous place to spend a day- make sure you check out the tide times! Embleton is perfectly situated for all of these places.

Nice little village and a mile from the bay, with its long sandy beach, which is very accessible and clean. Not much in Embleton Village except for a couple of pubs and a convenience store, but fine if you have a car and is on the coastal road too with Craster and Bamburgh not far away.

A comfortable and affordable hotel with good menu choices, friendly staff and in an excellent location for exploring the Northumberland Coast. Accessible to a great beach within a reasonable walking distance Embleton is small village within a short car journey to Seahouse where you can book boat trips to The Farne Islands and Lindisfarne.

Impossible to list everything we liked as so much to enjoy!

Impossible to list everything we liked as so much to enjoy! The scenery probably stood out most for us and the Hotel was as perfectly situated for everyday trips as could be! I have to say the beaches were stunning! This break has found us a little Gem in both Embleton and the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel

Lovely small village, 3 pubs and a useful shop/post office. 15mins from larger supermarket. 10minute walk to the beach and then a 45min walk to a lovely dog friendly pub, The Ship, further north up the coast. Longer beach walks for those fitter than me

    The beach is lovely.

The beach is lovely. Easily walk to Dunstanburgh castle and Craster and you can catch the bus back (about every hour in the day). You can have a drink at the golf course, but beware the glass of wine I had was unpleasant clearly the bottle had been open too long. Food at the Greys Inn was good and the staff great, but only serves Monday, Wednesday, Friday Beer at the Dunstanburgh castle was good and the beer garden great, but the food wasn't amazing. Fish and chips looked good, but the beef stroganoff felt pre prepared and was poor . One customer commented to me how rude the manager was. Other people I talked to said the food was good. The Bluebell is doing pizza and italian style tapas (opens at 6). There is a takeaway fish and chip van on a Thursday 4-8
