Beach House Hotel, hotel in Chathill

Located in Seahouses, 600 metres from Seahouses North Beach, Beach House Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

From the time we were checked in by Georgia at reception we experienced nothing but excellent service. She was very welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. We booked the accessible room and the facilities were really good. The little stair lift made it easy to get to reception with a wheelie walker, the room and bathroom were warm, comfortable, very spacious and easy to navigate for someone with mobility problems. All the hospitality staff made dinner and breakfast in the restaurant a great experience. They were friendly, quietly efficient and our food and drinks were served very quickly. The views out to the ocean from the dining area and bar/ sitting room are beautiful and added to the enjoyment of delicious, well cooked and beautifully presented meals. The tasteful Christmas decorations added to the lovely atmosphere. The property is easy to find and very conveniently located to access the town and coastal walks. On site parking was a bonus. Our whole experience at the Beach House was far above our expectations and we would definitely recommend staying there. Wish we could have been there longer !

Doxford Hall Hotel And Spa, hotel in Chathill

Originally built in 1818, this beautifully restored country house is set in 10 acres of grounds, 15 minutes’ drive north of Alnwick.

The food in the restaurant was outstandingly good. The best food in Northumberland over a period of six days. The location and gardens were lovely. The house was extensive with several rooms for relaxing. The spa treatment was very good although the spa facilities ie steam room and sauna were a little tired and didn’t smell that fresh. Very good opera entertainment on our second night although the food was definitely not from the same kitchen as the night before.

The view is superb, if you want cosy relaxing location away from busy cities. Cleanliness of room is excellent, the only issue is the Heating system (radiator) in Room 6 is making a noise early morning that disturbed our sleep, hope they will sort it out otherwise everything is superb.Thanks.

Excellent rural location in the centre of a range of visits and activities. A number of rural pubs (Tankersville Arms, Pack Horse Inn) within a few miles provided excellent food and ambience so not short of food and drink and things to do. Fitted our need perfectly.

Lots of lovely clean stretches of beach walks and interesting areas to visit. Cragside House was a fantastic day, give yourself the whole day to look around the house and grounds. Bamburgh Castle well worth a visit, need at least 4-5 hours and then can walk down from there to the beautiful beach.

We always go up to this area every year mostly Beadnell it's a fantastic area to explore the cabins are fine place to stop in but if you like peace and quiet don't book as the ball is a popular wedding venue which for us later on the night became quite noisy would have been better on a Sunday maybe . What you could not fault was the amazing breakfast at the joiners arms Ellsworth a vist

The shepherds hut was really nice, lots of character, tucked away in a quiet location away from the main hotel. Great for peace and tranquility. The hotel location is fantastic for reaching the nearby beaches. Good food and excellent menu.

Would have preferred it in the hotel rather than walking to the pub. Food was good though.
