Fiona’s hospitality was excellent. The decor was stunning. Breakfast was excellent - high quality food cooked beautifully and a very good choice. Fiona provided many little very thoughtful little extras. Easy to get in to the city. This is an extremely high standard but with a warm, homely atmosphere.

A 15-20 minute walk to the centre of York. Very close to the river so walked along the river into York in the morning. Room was very nice and bigger than expected.

It is also convenient for the nearby river and moored boats. The small village shop is very well stocked and includes alcohol, fresh pies and fresh vegetables.
