Good location - quiet yet not far from local attractions etc. The decor and artwork is fabulous and quirky. The room was spotless and the sloe gin a nice touch. Possibly one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Breakfast was excellent and lovely friendly staff.

Everything, basically, was spot-on, a very comfortable stay in every respect. Wendy was very helpful on my arrival. My room opened into a rather beautiful garden, which given warmer weather would be a superb bonus. Duxford itself is also a little gem of a place.
I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was one of the kindest I've ever met. I am a wheelchair user and I requested specific details regarding space, toilet, and bathroom accessibility, and everything was clearly described and available as soon as I got there. The staff also helped me to store one equipment that I had to rent for my needs. There is a ramp at the back door of the restaurant, and I could access all facilities. Besides that, the hotel was really cozy, clean, and silent. Just a few minutes' walk away, you have access to the Wellcome Genome Campus. The breakfast is amazing! It's really worth tasting the Royal one, with spinach, eggs, and smoked salmon. Dinner is also good!
Went to Duxford for the airshow at the nearby war museum.
Went to Duxford for the airshow at the nearby war museum. Vistited the local pub and local grocer and was treated quite well by the people living in Duxford.
Very welcoming and very authentically British, Duxford was a very fun village for a weekend getaway. I went two days because of time restrains but I wish I could have gone for one day longer!
All in all I would say Duxford is a great place to visit if you want to see an impressive airshow at an even more impressive museum. Give yourself three days so you can see and enjoy everything this place has to offer!

We stayed at Duxford for one purpose only - to visit the Imperial War Museum. This was a huge success - one of the best days out at a museum I have ever enjoyed.
Food in the hotel was really good - well presented and tasty - although the menu was quite limited.

The location oh the hotel is perfect, so easy to get to everywhere you need to go. This was the first time we had been able to see my Daughter and Son-in-Law and our two youngest grandchildren 8 an 4 for the first time since March 11th, so this was a very emotional time for us. a bonus is that the hotel is so close to Duxford Airfield where you can go and spend a brilliant day

I travelled to visit the Imperial War Museum Duxford.
I travelled to visit the Imperial War Museum Duxford. My hotel was very convenient and the museum was good value with a large number of exhibits spread across the site. Plenty of eating places on site. Some walking involved between halls, but there is a courtesy bus if you aren't so fit.
Our hosts have thought of absolutely everything at this gorgeous pied de terre... and then some. Beautifully furnished, with no expense spared. The bathoom would not look out-of-place in a 5* hotel. The hosts have thought of literally everything to make for a comfortable stay, and the basket of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biccies alongside the kettle would put most hotels to shame. Duxford is a lovely, picturesque village, very quiet, with just the sounds of nature. Will unhesitatingly use Fly By again when in the area.
Lovely hotel very tastefully decorated with some quirky furnishings. Fab loft room with a huge bathroom that had the 'wow' factor with a stand alone bath. Great to be able to open the bedroom windows too for a nice breeze.
Super staff who kindly kept the bar open for a much needed drink on our return from a concert at Audley End House and breakfast was good too. Nice garden and enough parking spaces for all of the residents.
Highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back if we are ever visiting the area again.
The bedroom accomodation was in one of 4 wooden huts outside the pub. I'm sure that I was aware that it was not in the building but the wooden naafi military base type building was a surprise. The room was small but clean, a tiny tv, but in a tinyroom so ok I suppose, althoug we couldn't read the info from the bed! The bathroom was snug but again clean. It cost more than a Premier inn and was much smaller, but unique. So depends what you are looking for

Lovely little room. We were visiting the Duxford IWM and knew we wouldn’t be able to do the site in only 1 day so made it a little get away. In a quiet village location which was lovely and peaceful.
We stayed here for our wedding night and so did some of our guests. The hotel were super helpful with anything we needed and the room was very comfy and quiet. The breakfast was excellent!
Boutique hotel tastefully decorated throughout, spacious room (in the stables but not in the main house), ideally located for business visits to the science parks nearby.
A glorious location, gardens and grand house. Everything we needed, well appointed and a perfect New Year break!
A good base for Cambridge and North Essex.
