Ivy Todd is situated overlooking fields of green and the whole ambiance is calm and natural. The food provided was enough for lunch and breakfast. For dinner, we ventured to the Plough for perfect, tasty pizzas. We have visited Ivy Todd 3 times now, and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean and spacious with quirky touches, such as the coffee cups and coasters 😊 Thank you to you both, once again, and thanks so much for the extra birthday treats for my husband. He appreciated them so much. Can’t wait for October when we return for our autumn getaway.

The hotel is a stones throw away from the airport. The rooms were well equipped and spacious and the quiet. Our rooms overlooked the airport runway so it was fun to see the airplanes take off and land especially at night. We were traveling as a group of 6, 2 kids, parents and grandparents and we wanted to ensure we had rooms that were interconnected so the kids could get to sleep and the oldies could have a post dinner drink before retiring without leaving the kids alone. The manager who checked us in couldn’t have been more helpful and allocated us a corner room that had a short corridor with its own door and two rooms behind it. The. I’m so sorry I can’t remember the name of the manager because I really would like to give the manager on reception a big shout out. We also enjoyed a good evening meal. OK it was a bit pricey but given the convenience and attentiveness of the staff gave it some kind of justification

Lovely large bedroom in the Willows converted bungalow across the road. Tastefully decorated. Bed was superb, super king and so comfortable. Bathroom had a bath and separate shower cubicle. Very quiet and looked out over a field. Traditional pub with oak beams and open fire. Lovely atmosphere with good mix of guests and regulars. Breakfast was excellent, with good quality ingredients. We ate there in the evenings too. Above average pub grub, good sized portions in comfortable surroundings. All staff were friendly and attentive. A special mention for Gail who as well as running breakfast service took time to suggest places of interest to visit. Thank you

The apartment was gorgeous and really done out well. The location was quiet, safe and child friendly and the park was a great attraction across the road. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and I'd definitely come back if I was in the location again!

We thought this simply was one of the best places we had stayed in.
We had tickets for a concert in the splendid Saffron Walden concert Hall and went to Cambridge on the way home .
Saffron is a very attractive and historic small town. Audley End near by is an English Heritage managed country house and estate. There are lots of walks from Debden and this is certainly a good place to spend a few days if you need or want to 'chill out'. We very much hope to come again.

Nothing much in the village of Debden itself; no shops, one pub, a church a bit off the way, a Nepalese restaurant. That's about it. The pub does good meals & has good beer. Nearby places - Saffron Walden & Thaxted worth visiting.

We needed a place to stay close to Cambridge and near to Audley End House. Debden is a sleepy village which perfectly fits that. It's 15 mins from Stansted Airport. It has a pub and an Indian restaurant. We just stayed for only overnight. There is a cafe close with a quaint antique shop, which serves Lunches and Teas. - Debden Barns.
The old English towns of Thaxted and Saffron Walden are 3 miles away and have shops, restaurants, beautiful old churches and mediaeval architecture aplenty.

A small village in Essex close to the very nice market town of Saffron Walden which id well worth a visit. There is a pub in he village (The Plough) that serves excellent meals. Our stay at Ivy Todd Cottage was short but very nice.. We had a very warm welcome from mine host for whom nothing was too much trouble, The accommodation was warm and comfortable bearing in mind that we were there during a very severe storm.
