As a Camelfordian I return annually to attend the service held on or close to Remembrance Day in early November.
The Countryman Hotel(I know it under it's previous name Sunnyside Hotel) is welcoming and a very restful place to stay.
Thank you

Camelford itself I'd say was ok, but it's location in relation to places like tintagel, Bude, port Isaac and Padstow is second to none, not to mention the countless little bays and beaches on the north coast it's a great base spot with all a short drive away.

It was clean, comfy, with everything we could need in a peaceful green location. Breakfast available if you wanted, welcoming touches such as mini bottle of local milk, books available and a proper door to the clean and well appointed shower room/toilet. Everything was in working order.

Camelford was a nice place and there was a lovely walk in the park along by a river and it was near to the places we wanted to go to which were Tintagel, Port Issac and Bos castle and we had some very nice meals out as well. I would definitely stay there again as it was so relaxing.

Went with my 2 children , age 6 and 10 and my partner.
Hosts were lovely. Grounds were too and the children loved the horses.
The property was located centrally which was good.
The cottage was cozy and clean.
The children’s beds were fine , but the adults double bed was standard.
My partner is 6ft 2, I am 5ft 7.
We couldn’t turn over without waking up .
We had sore backs and no sleep for 2 nights so we decided to leave and checked out at tea time on the 3rd day after the second night.
We told the host and also asked for a partial refund because we didn’t stay the 4 nights as paid.
The host wouldn’t partial refund although being honest and open about the bed, tiredness annd back pain and also with having to cut the holiday short by 2 nights.
We had a 5 hours drive to as well.
I’ve been honest and that’s my experience.
Book if you are ok with a standard double bed for 2 adults.
Apart from the bed , it was nice.

Most of our time was spent outside of Camelford.
Most of our time was spent outside of Camelford. We started with Tintagel and in other days went to Boscastle and to Bude. We did walk around Camelford. There is a very nice yarn store which sells knitting needles and other re-usable supplies in addition to yarn.
With regard to 6. below, I can't say anything about golf as none of our party plays it.

This is my second stay here. I'd book again too. The place is clean, welcoming and central for so many things. Camelford also has what I feel is the best Indian (Nepalese and Gurkha) restaurant in Cornwall. The Masons Arms is a good pub, there's a great chippy and the Chinese takeaway is good too. What's not to like?
Amazing house. Enthusiastic and passionate house holder. Comfortable place to live. Amazing dining room. Best place to stay in Cornwall. Easy reach to touristic venue. Will come again and recommend to my fds and family! Thank you for offering such a nice place for relaxing!
I am a vegetarian and the breakfasts were really delicious.
Gregg and Debbie were very friendly.
Camelford may not appeal to everyone but it is seems like a bit of real Cornwall away from the holiday cottages of the coast
Perfect location for exploring North Cornwall and the hotel is in a lovely setting being surrounded by the golf course. The food was excellent, as was the customer service in the bar and restaurant.
