A lovely seaside town. Lots of restaurants, bars cafes. If you like walking there are coastal paths to follow. Great for surfers. Attractive wharf which has a pub, cafes and a bistro called The Olive tree which does really good food. For a really good Sunday lunch The Preston Gate Inn is a must. They have a large family adventure centre with an outdoor adventure playground. There is also a castle which is free to visit it has a cafe with stunning sea views. There are a number of beaches to visit. Varied shops consisting of a mix of both independent traders and well known stores. A great place to stay and north Devon is not far away if you wish to explore.

There is a great beach Summerleaze, which is really near the hotel where you can go on in summer or winter and have a great walk along the coast, or a paddle. There were lots of surfers out there.
There are plenty of cafes/restaurants to visit even in autumn/winter
Bude is a great central place to stay and easily visit other attractions in Cornwall and Devon - Eden project, Tintagel Castle, Lost Gardens of Heligan - just be aware that the satnav tends to send you down all those very narrow 1 track roads!
Only regret was that we didn’t manage to fit in a cream tea

I've been travelling to Bude for the last 42yrs, always try to get there at least once a year. Love this part of the country and the only place I feel totally relaxed and peaceful. Great sandy beaches, the great Bude sea pool, good food to be found in many places.
The sea lock leading to the Bude canal offers great walks, leading to nature trails, including bird hides looking over the marshes.
Great surfing and also great links golf course.

The Caravan was fantastic it was like being at home it had everything you needed for a pleasant stay, it was very clean, it had a small park for the children our daughter loved it. The location was ideal just 10 minutes from Bude Town centre and the beach and sea pool. Its great for exploring the local area. The staff at the reception were lovely, very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area for things to do and see. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely go back.
The Falcon Hotel has been a meeting place for me and my family for as long as I can remember, over 50 years. Together with The Brendon pub next door, The Falcon Hotel is an icon of Bude and in fact North Cornwall. The Falcon Hotel is of historical importance, it is a wonderful building in an amazing location. The staff are local, friendly and always helpful. I look forward very much to returning in the future.
Lovely, family-run hotel. The people were so friendly, I felt welcome from the first moment. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, armchairs cozy and the view amazing. The breakfast menu is large and the food delicious. Also the location is good: Two minute walk to the cliffs with view over the Bude Sea Pool and the ocean and also about two minutes to the town center. Could really not recommend it more!
Cozy, clean room, 5 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent. The hosts were accommodating and very helpful. Perfect place to stay for those doing the coastal walks in the region. The bathtub in this room would have been great at the end of a long hike. Unfortunately I started my hike from Bude instead of ending it there.
Great location at the top of town opposite the golf course. Our room was bright, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Saf and Ann are both wonderful hosts and really made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was also great and set us up for a good start to the day. We will definitely stay again and would recommend Sea Jade to anyone looking to stay in Bude.
Our hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The location was very convenient for touring the north Cornwall coast, and the B & B itself was very easily accessed from the A46. There was easy parking and the guest rooms had there own entrance at ground level. The decor was very attractive. The breakfast cooked to order was excellent.
Lovely caravan, well equipped and an ideal base for exploring North Cornwall and Devon. Quiet park but this was probably because off season. Short walk/drive to Bude town centre and the beaches. The call from Janet to check everything was ok was a nice gesture and appreciated. The bar in the park did lovely meals with large portions.
Beautiful location. Perfect place to get away and relax. Perfect service with friendly and likable staff. Very interesting history of this hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent communication via email before we arrived. Glad I booked the falcon Hotel for my husbands surprise birthday
No faults.
Will definitely return.
Fantastic location in the centre and a 10min walk to the beach. Parking available and breakfast was lovely. We only stayed two nights and upon checkout we were offered to stay parked outside to enjoy Bude a little longer without finding another car park. Overall really lovely stay, friendly staff and nice hotel room.
great location. easy walk into Bude and the beaches. the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. The hotel was exceptionally clean.
the food was outstanding, good menu, all beautiful cooked no presented. The modern fun interior decor made it very individual and comfortable.
We liked the location with its proximity to Summerleaze beach and to Bude township - 10 minute walk.
The Brendon Arms was comfortable with a very good breakfast. Free parking available across the road. Situated next to the Falcon Hotel, which provided another choice for meals.
The location was perfect. Close to Bude, Widemouth, Tintagel and Boscastle. The accommodation was so lovely. Very warm welcome from the hosts when we arrived and the cottage was warm and very clean. We had such a lovely stay and would look forward to staying again.
all the staff were welcoming and friendly the restaurant food was exceptional - so good we ate there for 2/3 nights we stayed there. Location a couple of miles outside of Bude but handily placed for other Cornwall/Devon places ie Tintagel/Boscastle /Clovelly
The size of balcony was big with amazing sea view!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice. The hotel is right on the beach, there are a couple of restaurants nearby and the town is around 10 min drive. The room has everything you need.
Nice little chalet to base yourself when exploring North Cornwall. Perfect bedroom for kids with a Bunk Bed on offer. Great kitchen with very good oven, bath and shower on offer.
Leanne's communication was good and she was very helpful.
property was spotless and location for the coastal path and Bude centre was great! if you’re hoping to use the swimming pool make sure you check with the holiday park that it’s open as we were disappointed when it wasn’t.
