Enjoyable stay at Burton Lodge which is on the edge of the village next to a golf course. The staff were very friendly and had good knowledge of the local area. There is a comfortable lounge with an honesty bar. The room was spotless, well equiped and with a comfortable bed. I will return later in year when next in the area.

We booked two rooms when we went to Picton to meet relatives. The hotel is full of charm and character. Staff were wonderful and a special mention to Eileen who served us breakfast.

We received a really warm welcome from our host. The room is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail. Paula was keen to make sure that we would be comfortable, and asked if there was anything else she could provide us with. A very full breakfast was left for us at the time we requested. If we return to the area, we would hope to stay again.

Very comfortable and very clean. Quiet location over-looking open fields. Plenty of free parking. There are two bedrooms with double four-poster beds. The rooms are particularly pleasant and comfortable. Both with ensuite shower/loo. You have the whole cottage and gardens so plenty of room for families. You are about 20 minutes from Beverley. This cottage is self-catering with well equipped kitchen, large enough for a family of six at the kitchen table. Two triple-seat sofas in the lounge, plus chair. Recommended.

The owner was super friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all. The wine, biscuits and milk that were left for us were very much appreciated. The appartment had everything that we needed including cleaning products, salt/pepper, soap etc.

Village has two pubs, we ate in the less scruffy looking pub on our first ( The Black Swan ). The service was good, food was average. Unfortunately, we were sat near a few locals whose conversation was "industrial" to say the least! We drove the 8 miles to Beverley for a meal on Saturday night. Highly recommend Sleepers in Beverley.

We were delighted with the standard of facilities and hospitality we experienced during our stay at the Burton Lodge Hotel, Brandesburton. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. They were well furnished with a comfortable bed. The water was nice and hot for bathing and showers. The views across the beautiful grounds were lovely. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very good. The swimming pool was a delight. The honesty bar worked well in the evenings. Altogether a great time was had by us all. We were in a party of 7.
The Dacres Arms Pub does a good pub meal. Big portions, well cooked. Bert's Pizzeria has a nice buzz and atmosphere by the lake and does decent pizzas and burgers. The location is excellent for trips to the gorgeous east coast. You can be beside the sea in Bridlington within 25 mins by car. The nearby town of Beverley is an excellent town to visit with many attractions.
