Very happy with the Leonardo Royal - had booked for a show at the ICC - hotel was just across the road - a very short walk. Staff were very helpful, room was a good size - larger than most hotels - and very clean. We ordered room service after our show and the food was good and reasonably priced. Would happily stay again.

The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centres. Well-known for the M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it is a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.
Most city centre hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping centre, and just behind is Digbeth Coach Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.
The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Centre) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.
Just opposite is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modelled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.com.
The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top football clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.
Birmingham was amazing! Christmas time is a fantastic time to visit. The Christmas lights at the botanic gardens were amazing!
The weather was great and I was able to walk everywhere. The canals were beautiful at sunrise.
I felt safe walking in the dark as lots of people were out and the lights were on.

The lighting in my room was too dark , I was dressing up for a wedding and I couldn’t view my dress in the full length mirror behind the door. My daughter in law said the same about the lighting in her room. Just a helpful suggestion for the hotel.

Very good city. No problems with transport.
Very good city. No problems with transport. Convenient for business meetings because in the heart of Britain . My children really like the karting trails. I recommend to visit the flea markets in the city and nearby on weekends. They are a real treasure for lovers of things fearsome. In just 20 minutes you can go to Coventry, there are magnificent churches and among them the only church in Britain that was destroyed by the British themselves at 14 . It was left forever as a memory and will not be restored. Great big parks . I recommend to all tourists.

I love the shops and Christmas markets. I also love going to the local markets. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great this trip so I didn’t see all I wanted to.
I would like to undertake a tour of the city and learn its history next time I come.
We ate in the total but there was a fantastic cake shop just outside the bullring that had amazing food and specialty cakes which were delicious.

Great choice of restaurants, many solo travellers eat early, so plenty of choice, no need to book, sit in window and people watch. Able to use my bus pass, good tip to down load bus maps, frequent services. Visited the Birmingham Library, the Rag Market, Old churches. Needed help to get out of the shopping centre, but gen up on routes, or ask directions. Most people are very helpful with directions.

The room was perfect on a freezing cold day it was already heated to 27 degrees, it was clean and tidy. The location was great because it was a in a quiet area but with restaurants and bars right above, below and side the hotel. It was very central to Birmingham grand street so it made it easy to walk everywhere, the only problem would have been if you have a car but that would be a problem with all city centre hotels.
The Park Regis is a very nice hotel in a good location for Birmingham city centre. The decor is plush and up-to-date and the rooms are a good size with large beds. The staff on reception were very nice and checked us in relatively quickly and gave us rooms next to each other. All in all that is what I expect from a hotel of this calibre.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with lovely staff eager to help. Loved the breakfast, hot food/pastries and one of the best apple juices I’ve ever had! We had a lovely view of the grounds and even Birmingham city centre which was a refreshing perspective. This was my second visit, we hope to return soon.
A well priced hotel for our visit to Birmingham. Ideally situated for Broad Street and City centre. Breakfast a bonus too 9 out of 10! Fried eggs would have given it another point!!
