I needed a place to stay after an event in Birmingham. I was traveling with two children so wanted to avoid city centre hotels on a busy Saturday night. Crowne Plaza NEC/Resorts World was easy to get to and we were able to park right outside. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel is modern and smart. Our room felt a little dated in comparison but it was quiet and fine as a base. Birmingham International train station was a 10min walk away. Breakfast was a pretty standard hotel buffet. The cooked food was nice and hot, and kids had plenty to choose from.
Located in the heart of England, the Holiday Inn Express Birmingham NEC is just a 5-minute drive from the National Exhibition Centre and Resorts World Birmingham.

Nice bedroom and a good private bathroom with an excellent shower. The hotel has a bar which it needs as there is no eating or drinking facilities in the immediate area. The barman, Andreas, was very polite and friendly.
Strawberry Bank is a homely hotel and restaurant in picturesque Meriden, near Coventry. The NEC, Birmingham International Airport and the M42 are less than 5 minutes away.

There is not a lot in Berkswell itself, but there are shops and eateries nearby. The best thing about Berkswell is its location. There is FREE PARKING at the train station with a 7 minute ride to the N.E.C. (Beats paying £16-plus per day to park your car!)

Cannot fault the staff who went over and above to help make our stay so relaxing. Room was lovely, comfy bed, plenty of tea, coffee, water, toilletries. Location was perfect, in the countryside with lots of lovely walks but close enough to Birmingham (which we loved), Coventry and Leamington Spa for a great days sightseeing!

Berkswell is a small village.
Berkswell is a small village. It's well presented and very pretty. The main attraction is the 12th century church with crypt. There's a free car park next to the village shop so worth spending half an hour or so wondering round the church.
