Well equipped. Close to shops and walking distance to the beach. Cozy and warm with just the log burner. Helpful staff replaced faulty kettle quickly. The private and enclosed garden was great for the dog and nice to sit out evenings even in late September.

Nutshell, hotel in Aldeburgh

Nutshell has a patio and is set in Aldeburgh, within just 1.8 km of Sudbourne Beach and 1.2 km of Aldeburgh Golf Club. Guests can benefit from a balcony and a terrace.

Very cosy cottage, just a short walk from the beach & the town centre, with 2 supermarkets for all that you'd need 2 minutes walk from the cottage. Garden was a lovely haven & the summer house was the perfect place to read your book & enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day, i'm now looking at summer houses on line, i definitely need one in my life now. Limited parking directly outside the cottage but we found parking very easily just around the corner. Would also recommend the Lighthouse for food, had a lovely meal there.

Aldeburgh is a pleasant holiday destination with a good range of shops and restaurants. It is of course on the sea which offers beaches and the opportunity to fish and of course to eat fish and chips from the local chippy.

Aldeburgh is delightful, we've been 5 times before and loved it every time. Good beach, great dog walks and lots of good places to eat. Particular shout out to The Two Magpies for breakfast (and cakes), The Suffolk, Aldeburgh Market and The Lighthouse for dinner.

It's a nice coastal town, with cinema, pubs, cafes and restaurants, plus an attractive pebble beach very close to town centre. Also some nice shops - I found Reed Books next to where I was staying was good place to pick up some extra holiday reading when I'd finished what I"d brought. I ate at a number of different venues, all good. Don't remember all the names but one was the Chocolate Teapot where I had a very good crab salad. Lots of dishes using the local seafood in most of the restaurants and cafe's,

The fish and chips were great !

The fish and chips were great ! The town is welcoming and friendly. Parking is a bit trying but then it is for everybody including local people. The high street has a good selection of shops of all kinds. The town is vibrant and charming without being noisy. For those of all ages who may want a gentler holiday.

Everything was perfect - the best stay we’ve had for a long time. The house was lovely and in a great location - only 10 minutes walk from Aldeburgh but in a quiet road so no traffic noise. There was only two of us so plenty of space and everything was spotless. Lovely shower. Recommend booking dinner well in advance- we booked before our holiday. The Lighthouse restaurant is wonderful.

Great cottage for our small group. Location about 20 mins walk to the beach. Minutes from local supermarkets and Kemps field playground. Garden was a lot bigger than shown in images which was a nice surprise. We had an issue with a cot and someone came quickly to sort it for us. Aldeburgh is beautiful.
