From the instructions to collect the keys till our checking out. Everything was fine, we had everything we needed for our stay: coffee machine and coffee-pods, tea, microwave to warm our food, sugar, cooker, washing machine, drying rack, hairdryer, iron…, We were a family with younger kids, we needed a place where we can stay as a family and also having a family feel, the place didn’t disappoint. All clean, too. By London standards, the ground-floor flat is excellent value for unpowered cycle tourists such as me and my man. Melanie has a good sense of humour. We wished we could have stayed longer.

It felt like we were staying in our own country house. Beautiful house and location and we had a large terrace with our room looking out over the surrounding fields. No food provided but we found a nice restaurant a short driving distance away at Lac Villerest. We were staying there to watch the Tour de France nearby but the hotel would also be perfect for a romantic vacation
