The house is spacious. The huge garage provides secure parking. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding very clean. Shops, restaurants and the cathedral are in easy walking distance. The dishwasher didn't work, but Juliette kindly agreed to sort cleaning the crockery after we left. The new shower is very good.

Really easy to find / get to from the main motorway. Was nice to walk around just a little as there were chickens etc close by. The pool was covered and perfect for the kids after a long drive/break up our stop over. The host was really friendly, helpful and a pro with google translate! The workmanship that has gone into the interiors is impressive.

Everything about the cottage was excellent. The location is stunning, without another house to be seen or heard. The peace & quiet was fantastic, with the bird song the only background sound.
The cottage facilities were really good; great shower, well appointed kitchen & a superb terrace with far-reaching views over the countryside. I would very highly recommend staying here.

This is an absolute gem of a property, set in beautiful grounds. There is a good sized covered swimming pool, a large wildflower meadow and even it's own lake.
The owner speaks good English as well as French and was incredibly welcoming and attentive to our needs.
The room was beautifully clean and thoughtfully and tastefully designed. The bed was large and very comfortable. The walk-in shower was very modern and had great water pressure. There was a little table and some dining chairs in the bedroom. And in the corridor outside the guestrooms, there was a small kitchenette with coffee pod machine, kettle, single hob, microwave and fridge shared between the three guest rooms.
In the gardens, there were lots of places to relax or to eat a meal.
Breakfast was served in a pretty conservatory and included an enormous croissant, a plentiful supply of coffee, fresh bread and home-made honey, rhubarb and plum jams - even home-pressed apple juice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Interesting very small city (town), a large cathedral and historic centre with some interesting buildings and self-guided walk. Perfect for an over-night stay on way North/South, just off the A28 motorway.

An overnight stop on a cycling tour, we arrived early enough to take in the tourist walk around the old town. The public spaces and parks seemed very well cared for and the cathedral is beautiful, in spite of the damage caused during the revolution and earlier by the (cough) English, in the 100 years war.

We visited Sées for the Musilumiere show in the cathedral.
We visited Sées for the Musilumiere show in the cathedral. It was an evening event with a light show and music telling the history of the town and the cathedral. I thought it was very good but my wife, I think, was a little underwhelmed and was possibly expecting more of a musical experience rather than a history lesson! the commentary was in French but they provided a translation device for English. My wife couldn't get her's to work but her French is better than mine anyway.
The town itself has all you would need for a short stay, it's easily walkable and has parks and gardens to meander round. There is a small selection of bars and restaurants. We ate in the Normande opposite the cathedral. Very nice with an extensive menu. Not particularly cheap but the food was good and the service was attentive.

We arrived within the suggested time and were greeted with a frosty welcome. The owner frustrated that we had not given a specific time. He made several comments that our children must be quiet. They are very well behaved but he still came to tell us they needed to be more quiet around 8.30pm! Not sure why they offer family rooms if they don’t want families to stay. We felt uncomfortable at this guest house and left as soon as we could!
