Domaine de Ris, hotel in Ris-Orangis

Set in Ris-Orangis and only 24 km from Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles, Domaine de Ris offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The hosts were more than welcoming, (as our plane was late they waited for us though the night). The mansion is a little piece of history and by staying there we were part of it. It's 40 min from the centre of Paris so well situated.

One or two decent restaurants (Cote Bistrot in particular)...

One or two decent restaurants (Cote Bistrot in particular) but there isn't much else to do in the town. Several high rise blocks of flats, and on the weekend there are groups of young men hanging around on street corners, so not the most welcoming atmosphere. Would recommend staying in Paris instead if possible.
