The Lodge Hotel is centrally located in Les Rousses, within minutes of all of the restaurants, bars and shops (and tourist information office). The staff were lovely and Murielle went out of her way to help us with transport when we struggled to find a taxi to the station (note for those travelling without a car - public transport is very limited in the village). The breakfast was fairly basic but substantial (with fantastic bread) and meant that we didn't need to eat lunch each day. The room itself was spotlessly clean, quiet and the bed comfortable given the high temperatures on the first two nights of our stay.
Although the room was basic it was comfortable for one night. Breakfast was perfectly good enough too. Staff were very helpful in suggesting places to have an evening meal close by, although the hotel is so centrally situated that it's an easy walk to the main street. Off-street parking was good, and it was great to be able to leave my car there after checking out until after my cross-country ski race.
We have nothing but praise for this lovely hotel. The staff was welcoming and efficient. The room was spacey, quiet and very clean, including the bathroom.
We arrived early and the manager made a special trip to accommodate us, which was really appreciated.
The breakfast was perfect, a large choice of continental breakfast items.
We were very pleased and highly recommend this hotel.
The room was excellent. We booked a double room, but got a room for 4 persons because the hotel was not full. The room was really big. Also the staff was very friendly and arranged a table at a nearby restaurant for us. She was very helpful and also provided tips for other restaurants in the area. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
The beds were comfortable enough, and the breakfasts were really good.
Being able to park in front of the hotel is convenient.
The receptionist was very patient with our broken French, and she spoke some English, too.
Having a kettle in the room is terrific!
There’s a lot to like about this hotel. Our room was huge, spotless and with really comfy beds. It was very simple - no bonus decor at all - but that’s totally fine. The lady in reception was lovely. There was safe storage for our bikes.
