On arrival, the Chateau de la Cressonniere it was very impressive. We were greeted by the owner who showed us our room and arounð the chateau. The cleanliness of the place was amazing. We had been travelling for nearly 7 hours. The owner asked, have you eaten. We said no. He cooked us a meal then and there. Again, this was very impressive. He made us feel like royalty. Fantastic stay. We will return in the future.

The villa is of recent construction and is tastefully decorated, with a hot tub on the sheltered terrace. Very welcome after a long journey. Well equipped kitchen.
Quiet area but amenities not too far away. About one hours drive to the coast. Historically a lot to see in the area. Great walking and running trails through the forest as well as canoeing on the lake. La Rochelle and Ile de Re just over an hours drive.
