The location suited us as a stopover en route from Bordeaux to St Malo. In terms of the immediate area it is near the village of Vouvant - very pretty, several restaurants, a small supermarket etc - basically everything you need. Very quiet location. Very large garden to enjoy. Breakfast with fresh eggs was tempting, but unfortunately we had eaten too much the night before so couldn't attempt it.
