A nice hotel family run. This gives it the personal touch often not present in the big ‘chains’. Friendly team, good food and there was a high speed electric car charging station in 2 km from hotel.

The house is nice to stay for a couple of days, but the price is a bit too high for its facilities and what it suggests. Lovely breakfast with traditional French touch.

The home grown ingredients from the area used in the cooking were very tasty. Very cosy athmosphere!

This is a really lovely property - a proper oasis at the end of a warm days travelling and well worth coming off the main roads to find. Everything about the property is literally wonderful. Lovely warm welcome by the owner and great wee dog. The garden is a seriously chilled place to be.
Joinville has a good selection of restaurants. I had a great meal and the perfect last meal of a prolonged holiday.
Can't recommend Le Val du Roy enough. Just find a reason to go.
We were met by the most friendly and helpful host who introduced us to the charming town of Joinville. The house itself was a beautiful, exceptionally maintained mansion of the 17th century with authentic furniture. Our bedroom was like a count's room that you would visit in castles. We enjoyed our very generous breakfast in the unusually beautiful living room overlooking the garden that oozes the rich past so characteristic of this region.
This is a gem! It was the last night of our holiday on our way to the channel and this place made it special. Fred and his wife run this beautiful little hotel to perfection! The building is very attractive, particularly the courtyard and dining area. The food was excellent.
We had two rooms with very well equipped bathrooms. Very nicely decorated.
We didn’t know the town, choosing it for convenience, but it is a charming place.
Thé hotel is spacious, beautifully decorated comfortable and exceptionally clean. The restaurant is spacious and the food excellent! It is perfectly situated to explore the town and the surrounding area. We were delighted with our stay and hope to return one day, so have no hesitation in recommending it.
Beautiful old French house, with lovely rooms and a communal garden. Our host was so helpful, taking care to welcome us and recommend the best places to eat and attractions to see in Joinville. The breakfast was also excellent, we’d definitely come again.
We had lunch and dinner on the terrace in the pretty garden. Both meals were very good, and Joinville is a lovely town to wander around with the old houses and the river flowing through the centre. We would love to return sometime.
Great place to stopover on route to Strasbourg. Room was modern and clean and free parking was a plus. The hotel is opposite a large supermarket which is handy.
Very pretty view from the room.
