Joinville was a great place to break our journey home. A very pretty town on the Marne with an interesting history. Not somewhere we would have discovered if we hadn’t stopped off. Super U on the outskirts to stock up on food and fill up with fuel. Property is very chic, well equipped and extremely clean. The games room and outdoor activities kept the four teenagers amused. Nice Pizza in a small restaurant in the town overlooking the river. Beds for all six of us. My one gripe was that I didn’t get on with my pillow. I’ll bring my own next time - were sure to be back.

I had assumed possibly wrongly that this was a Hotel but it was in fact it was 'Chambres de hote' basically a bed and breakfast. However the Lady and her son were charming and breakfast was amazing! If other people book this be in no doubt it is a bed and breakfast but a very good one and the host is a lovely lady who does all she can for her guests.
Beautiful hotel, so much nicer than I’d expected! Our family room was lovely, with a little room for our son which he (and we) appreciated enormously! Beautiful views over the courtyard. Lovely gentleman at reception and safe storage for our bikes.
The room was big, the bed comfortable. Very nice Was also the toilet separated from the bathroom. Two drinks in the bathroom and all very clean.
The location in the small village of Joinville was good for a stopover.
