Fantastic Gite walking distance to Lac L'homme, which has inflatables, paddle boards etc to hire, a lovely beach and restaurant. The Gite is great value for money, lovely old farm building with a pretty garden. Flexible accomodation. We have 4 children ranging 7 to 17 and it worked perfectly. Lots to see and do close by including a great tree top experience in Rille. Samaur is 40 mins away and is a pretty medieval town on the Loire river. Lots to do here and a great selection of restaurants.

Our third stay in this chateau, so you can guess we like it ! We ate in the restaurant on both evenings, and enjoyed exceptionally good meals with friendly service. Breakfast was slightly disappointing, with empty trays of the two warm items though more was added upon request. For comparison, the hotel we moved on to the following day had an extensive breakfast menu of hot and cold items, and at a lower price - though the décor and grandeur of the chateau's facilities are top class.
