- Astride was a lovely host. Gave us some good recommendations for the where to eat that night and couldn't have been more helpful. Lots of tips and she was extremely welcoming - Very clear instructions on how to arrive given the location is remote - The room was beautiful and obviously recently decorated - Location was incredible. In the middle of the woods and the house itself was beautiful - Lots of facilities

We love it at Philippe's quirky chateau and stop over on our way to and from the family holidays in Bretagne. We love the mystery of the big house, the wonderful feel of the apartment with high ceiling and lots of original features from when this was a local textile factory owner's mansion. The garden is huge and feels great to spend time in. The pool was clean and great for our children to play in. The owner Philippe is a very friendly chap who speaks decent English - we felt welcome once again.

Perfect! best place to stay! very hospitable owner! we were made to feel at home. in the evening a sumptuous dinner was prepared. there were a lot of snacks. We were treated to various locally produced drinks. the room was perfect with a comfortable bed! breakfast was also very tasty. I have attached a photo, you can draw your own conclusions)
