We needed somewhere to stay to break a long car journey and we also wanted a base for a brief visit to Nuremberg. Hotel Wendelstein fitted these criteria perfectly, The staff were very friendly (spoke excellent English) and very helpful. Even though our 4 pm arrival was delayed by seven hours, due to horrendous traffic, this was no problem as keys can be accessed at any time via key safe. Finally, the beds were extremely comfortable which was especially welcome after such a long and stressful journey!
Very good location if you are travelling by car from west to the east of Germany, it's very close to Nurnberg city. There is a free private parking in front of the hotel. You can check in even during the night because there is a contact number to the owner at the main door. The rooms are very clean and they have comfortable bed and there is a very nice bathroom. The breakfast is very tasty and the stuff is super friendly!
We are traveling a lot, aspecially across the big five stars hotel. But we had an amazing experience in this hotel. The lady on our arrival in reception desk was super nice and helpful. The room was clean and very confortable. We are recomending this hotel for every future Wendelstein guests!
Hotel is close to highway but near woods at the edge of small town near Neurenberg. Quit place. Hotel has a modern restaurant as well, where we had a good meal. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Good stopover Hotel for us for travel further to Australië.

The hotel is located very close to the highway but in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The room is perfect for an overnight stay and the beds are comfortable. The parking lot is big and there is a charging station for EVs.
We use this hotel for stopovers on trips through Germany and it's perfect - staff are flexible regarding late check in, the rooms are comfortable and the hotel is outside big cities, but close to autobahns. Perfect!
