Bad Windsheim is a charming town. It took us a bit of roaming to find the hotel but it was well worth it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide little surprises like chocolate Santas on the pillows. The room was huge and exceeded my expectations. Breakfast is extensive and delicious. The bar which also serves fare like pizza is great.

Location excellent, apartment newly furbished, very clean, heating, air conditioner perfect. We received an upgraded apartment in the street: An Der Alten Weed, instead of the one originally booked in Johannieterstasse.

We lived in this town in the early 1990s and loved it then...we visit as often as possible. Getting around the town is no problem but you need some time to learn the layout of a nearly 800 year-old town. We ate at the Salsa Restaurant at Franken Therme and it was very good...on past visits we have eaten at Storchen Nest, Goldener Schwan, and others. The Therme make this a tourists town and all restaurants are very good.

This is a pretty popular spot and it’s close to many of the big attractions in Bavaria. If spas are your thing definitely a good place to visit. Plenty of great restaurants throughout the city and some Eiscafe’s that are to die for. Definitely go to Eiscafe Rialto, best thing to hit my tongue while I was there. Genusswerk is a pretty good restaurant, I dined there multiple times and the food is amazing. There are many gasthaus restaurants with pretty authentic German food and they’re a must, I can’t rank any of them over the other so try them all! And if you like Greek, Restaurant Delphi will not disappoint.
In the surrounding area some definite musts are to go down the romantic road, definitely visit Rothenburg, Dinkelsbühl, and just take some leisurely strolls through the countryside. It’s amazing what you’ll find.
Very nice hotel in perfect location right next to the thermal baths. The service is fantastic and staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious and sparkling clean. The facilities are very nice and even have a walkway to and entrance into the thermal baths. Breakfast is exceptionally good. There are several nice touches, such as a spa bag that you can rent for free, including Sauna towels and a bathrobe, a really nice late check-out option until 6:00pm, or the bottle of water for our drive home after checking out. Overall a superb experience.
The location is really good, close to the city center and the Franken Thermen. I can certainly recommend these thermen. The appartment is quite small (kitchen included), but very efficiently furnished. You find room for everything you need to store. Bad Windsheim is a beautiful village. Bike lanes are very good, you can easily bike for instance to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which is even more beautiful than Bad Windsheim. A good, closed bike parking is available. We did not have any meals at the hotel, so we cannot judge the food.
The property was exactly what we were looking for: 2 separate bedrooms, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, clean and on the ground floor, no steps. Free parking on the premises. The apartment is centrally located too; from there we went to Bamberg, Rothenberg, Nurnburg, etc, etc. There are supermarkets within walking distance and Bad Windsheim also has many restaurants.
The owner, Herman, lives on the same street snd he’s very helpful and responsive.
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
The service and receptionist was very considerate and nice. There was no time we felt unconfortable and the hotel made sure we had all we need - going through the pandemic.
Minor things that was huge for us was the offered early check-in and late check-out during the off seasin time. Also we were offered corona tests since most visitors also want to take a look at the Frankentherme. At last. the knives in the kitchen were actually sharp!!
Lovely very clean. We only stayed ia night while visiting the Therme which was just 5mins away. Building is quiet as is the neighborhood eventhough ot ia in the centre. The apartment had comfy beds and two spaces, one for kids and a bedroom for adults. The kitchen was fully stocked with new pots and pans etc abd you could easily cook here. 2 TVs. Nice bathroom....lots of parking available out front.
Reasonable price.
Great hotel with a warm and very friendly welcoming staff. Balconies on the rooms gave you a quiet and cool respite without having to leave your room. This was important as it was quite hot during my stay. Of course the hotel also had fans you could use. Location is right next door to the Spa and indoor/outdoor dining which was excellent as well and easy access to the rest of Bad Windsheim.

Location of the hotel is superb, right in the middle of the old town among all the all beautiful old buildings. It was a nice gesture to offer coupons for different establishments in Bad Windsheim. There is a parking location at the hotel. The room was clean and neat. Breakfast is sufficient and can be taken in a nice inner courtyard outside.
Great location, 3 minute walk from Franken Therme, 15 minute walk to the city center. Check-in was quick and personal were friendly. Room was clean and as in the picutres. Some furniture looks pretty old, but perfectly usuable. Bathroom looks recently redone and modern. Breakfast is exceptional!
Ideal location, very clean, host was lovely. Easy instructions for key pick up and parking space right outside. Nice change from just stopping in a hotel room as allowed lots of space and 2 separate bedrooms for the the cost of just one hotel room.
Apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for a vacation in Germany. We loved being able to shop for our own food and prepare it in the apartment. Bedroom and bathroom facilities were perfect.
