Actually we never went into the town of Waldkirch.
Actually we never went into the town of Waldkirch. The cottage is in Buchholz, a beautiful village. Just wish we had more time to explore the whole area. The local winery/cellar door Moosmann, in Buchholz is well worth a visit. The train services in the area are on time and frequent, which makes visiting other areas so easy. We visited Freiburg and did a day tour of the Black Forest from there.
This property is handy for Waldkirch…you can walk there along the river. And also for Freiburg. Bus and train from just outside the car park. Car parking was good. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice fluffy white towels. Breakfast was very good and generous. We liked the hospitality table with fruit, coffee and tea available throughout the day. The restaurant was very good. We had a table in the garden, shaded and pretty. The food was an excellent mix of traditional and imaginative. Great apéros!
We were so happy with this beautiful apartment. It was much bigger than we expected and was modern and 100% clean. The apartment is perfectly situated in town yet feels really quiet. We would definitely love to stay here again and highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the wonderful town of Waldkirch.
Loved the hotel room and staff were so friendly and attentive. We traveled with our dog and they were really accommodating. Also we arrived fairly late and were able to attend the restaurant which is such a wonderful place, excellent wine and food. A wonderful visit and stay.

The hotel was quite unusual - both good and bad. The room was spacious. The furnishings were of a high standard: bed linen; balcony chairs; bathroom cosmetics. The breakfast was good. About 15min walk to the centre of town. Nice view of Kandel.
Friendly host and great apartment! We only stayed for one night because we were passing through. But we would have loved to stay longer. The town of Waldkirch is very nice and perfect walking distance from the apartment.

The design and decoration in this hotel are amazing. the atmosphere is unique. The hotel is located in a quiet area close to the river. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed staying here.
We stayed there for Easter, and during the Easter night the "Easter bunny" left some nice chocolate at the door. This was a very nice touch.
The hotel is also pretty close to Europa Park.
