Beautiful location surrounded by spectacular nature just outside the town of Simonswald. Old farmhouse with modern & spacious rooms. Fantastic restaurant with exceptional host. Check in/out super easy. Breakfast was plentiful with made-to-order-eggs, as well as a breakfast buffet. The in-house restaurant serves regional dishes, which are made fresh and taste absolutely delicious. Free parking on site. Easy access to many hiking trails just steps away from the hotel.

Overall, I had an amazing stay here. The rooms were perfect for 2 people and the bathroom was just right. It is a perfect location in Simonswald and within walking distance from restaurants in town and activities around the area. The breakfast here was amazing and loved the variety of food provided. We really enjoyed the host and he was very welcoming on our arrival and gave us great recommendations of things to do in the area. Will definatly visit again when I go to the Black Forest in the future!
An absolute gem, which we only picked by chance as it was located near the trail trough the Black Forest we were hiking on. We expected a typical local guesthouse and were pleasantly surprised to find a very well maintained and clean hotel with an excellent restaurant. Spacious rooms, well equipped bathroom, perfect bed and friendly and very competent service. If you have the chance, stay, and eat, here for a great experience in the center of the Black Forest.
The room was not proper for a 4-member family, only for 2, so we booked 2 of them. Parking place is free of charge at the hotel. Staff is nice and helpful, breakfast was ample. Dinner table has to be booked in advance, outdoor or indoor, depends on weather. Glutenfree diet for one member of my family was solved, dinner is also possible this way with a narrowed options a'la carte. bed are big and comfortable.

We extended a business trip to include a randomly selected hotel in the southern Schwartzwald. The hotels' appearance was lovely and the inside did not disappoint. The breakfast choices and the dinner options were excellent as was the quality of the food and service. Additionally the staff were exceptional and very helpful during our stay.
Beautiful location in Simonswald, centrally located in the black forest. The appartement offers a lot of value for its cheap price, it's modern and clean too. Owner also delivers fresh bread every morning so no need to go to the bakery yourself!
