An unusual, almost quirky design to the building itself. Being on the side of a steep slope, the ground floor on one side was the first/second floor on the other. A spiral staircase to the full height is spectacular if not a little intimidating if you go right to the top and don't like looking down. A very good continental breakfast buffet selection was provided in a pleasant wood-panelled dining room. My bedroom furnishings were an eclectic mix but ultimately functional. The bathroom appeared recently refurbished and was clean and more than adequate. All rooms appear to open out onto a balcony, mine giving a view to the village/town and countryside beyond.
A small and secluded country hotel, situated beside a weir on the river Danube in an attractive gorge, close by a few other houses and quite a few miles from anywhere else. Quiet and secluded but with easy riverside walking from the door. Large open parking area close by.
